Pakistani singer Chahat Fateh Ali Khan has offered to assist in coaching the national cricket team after Pakistan’s disappointing performance in the T20 World Cup.
Speaking to Geo News in London, Chahat Fateh Ali Khan shared, “When I was captain of a school team in London, Aqib Javed’s father introduced him to me for a trial. I assessed him and selected him for the school team.”
Regarding former national fast bowler Waqar Younis staying with him in London, Chahat mentioned, “Waqar Younis, along with Aqib Javed, Mushtaq Ahmed, and Saeed Anwar, came for trials and stayed with me.” He added, “Waqar Younis stayed with me for three and a half months, then signed with Surrey County and moved to his flat.”
“All these players are like brothers to us and have practiced with us,” he said. “I recently met Mushtaq Ahmed during Pakistan’s tour, but Waqar Younis has been very busy, so we haven’t been in touch.”

When asked about coaching the Pakistani team, Chahat expressed, “I’ve heard that the Pakistani team has multiple coaches but only one is effective. I know how to work with players, so I will be the sole coach. I won’t need separate coaches for bowling, batting, or fielding. I’m here for the team, and you’ll only need to pay for one coach.”
The Pakistan cricket team is currently participating in the T20 World Cup, with their final match against Ireland scheduled for today. Pakistan has already been eliminated from the tournament after disappointing losses to the USA and India.
