Elon Musk, the owner of California-based companies Space X and Tesla, and owner of Twitter, has threatened to boycott Apple.

According to Wire Examiner, Musk stated that if Apple continues to integrate ‘Open AI technology’ into its iPhones, his companies will restrict the use of iPhones by their employees.

Reportedly, Apple announced that it will incorporate artificial intelligence technology into its iPhones, allowing users to obtain information through ‘Chat GPT’ in addition to ‘Siri’ voice commands. Musk argues that this update by Apple would pose unacceptable security violations.

In a post on his Twitter account, Musk mentioned that if Apple includes Open AI, which owns ‘Chat GPT’, at such a level, they will impose restrictions on the use of iPhones and other Apple devices in their companies. Consequently, their workers would need to switch to different devices outside of Apple.

The situation highlights a potential clash between Musk’s concerns over security and Apple’s advancements in AI technology for its products, raising questions about the future of technological integration in consumer devices.
