After Rohit Sharma’s retirement from T20 cricket, there is a possibility that Hardik Pandya might take over as captain for India in T20 games.

Recently, India defeated South Africa in the final of the 9th edition of the T20 World Cup, securing their title after 17 years. India had previously become T20 World Champions in 2007.

Following the victory against South Africa, captain Rohit Sharma announced his retirement from T20 cricket. He will continue to play for India as captain in One Day Internationals (ODIs) and Test formats.

It’s worth noting that there were earlier reports suggesting that Hardik Pandya might replace Rohit Sharma as captain in T20 cricket before the T20 World Cup.

Not only that, in the previous season of the Indian Premier League (IPL), the captaincy of Mumbai Indians was also transferred from Rohit Sharma to Hardik Pandya.
