Sources claimed that on Sunday that PTI politician Senator Azam Khan Swati has indeed been arrested for the second time over comments he made critical of senior military officers, including the incoming Head of a Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa.
Early Sunday morning, the PTI leader was rounded up from his Chak Shahzad, Islamabad, farmhouse.
According to reports, Azam Swati, who wrote tweets attacking a government body including using abusive language against high leaders of the Pakistan Army, was arrested by the FIA’s cybercrime department.
According to reliable sources, a FIR was filed against him because of his tweets.
In his criticism of retiring army leader Gen Bajwa and Maj . gen. Faisal Naseer, Azam Swati used colourful language.
Faisal Karim Kundi, who works as a Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety, said that Swati had sunk to a very low moral level in response to the abusive language.
