Biden administration considering abortion aid :Xavier Becerra

Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra said on Sunday that the Biden administration is exploring measures to assist women seeking abortions, including the possibility of facilitating travel over state borders to locations where abortion is allowed. During an appearance on NBC’s “Meet The Press,” Becerra stated that the Biden administration has labeled the matter a top priority. We are one of those partners. “We have to make sure that we have the means to accomplish it and authorities enable us to do it,” he added. He seemed to dismiss a motion by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., that the government creates abortion facilities on federal land, saying it may be “tough.” “I believe we’re continuing to investigate everything that’s out there,” he added. Unfortunately, “the problem is that just because it’s a concept doesn’t mean it can be put into effect.” Because “you have individuals who are right now in need of abortion care services,” he continued, “what we want to make sure is we can put things out in practice.”
