Omar Ayub Khan, the Secretary General of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has resigned from his position “to concentrate on my role as Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly of Pakistan”.
“I am thankful to PM Imran Khan for accepting my resignation as Secretary General of PTI so that I can focus on my responsibilities as Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly of Pakistan,” he stated in a message shared on his official social media handle on Thursday.
Ayub expressed his appreciation to PTI founder Imran Khan for accepting his resignation in a letter.
“On 22nd June, I submitted my resignation to PTI founder and Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali,” Ayub mentioned. Senator Shibli Faraz, Leader of the Opposition in the Senate, conveyed Ayub’s message to the PTI founder during a meeting at Adiala Jail earlier today
