Pakistan continues to experience significant inflation due to a rise in the prices of essential goods. The National Bureau of Statistics’ most recent report indicates that inflation climbed by 0.96% over the past week. This represented a notable increase from the previous week and a startling annual gain of 45.64%.

According to the survey, the cost of 28 necessities rose in price while the cost of 11 goods fell. Twelve things had the same price. Those in the population with monthly incomes of 44,175 rupees were the most adversely impacted group; their inflation rate was 47.97%.

The cost of basic goods including boiled fresh milk, curd, potatoes, sugar, tomatoes, flour, beef, cooking oil, energy-saving products, tea, and rice went up. Onions, chicken, garlic, eggs, LPG, dal mash, dal chana, dal masoor, and dal mung, on the other hand, saw a decrease in price.
