Colombo Strikers have made a significant signing for the Lanka Premier League (LPL) by bringing in Pakistan’s ODI specialist opener, Imam-ul-Haq. He joins the team as a replacement for Ireland’s Lorcan Tucker. This marks Imam’s first venture into a foreign T20 league, adding to his already impressive white-ball cricket career.

Imam will be playing alongside fellow Pakistani cricketer and captain, Babar Azam, who leads the Strikers. The team management has recognized Imam’s expertise in the limited-overs format, making him a valuable addition to their lineup. Previously, he had represented Peshawar Zalmi in the Pakistan Super League (PSL).

With 78 T20 matches under his belt, Imam brings substantial experience to the Strikers. He has amassed 2143 runs at a strike rate of 123.37 throughout his T20 career. As the tournament unfolds, it remains to be seen whether Imam will partner with Babar as an opening batsman for the Strikers, further enhancing their batting prowess.

The upcoming LPL season 4 is scheduled to take place from July 30 to August 20. Cricket enthusiasts will be eagerly watching Imam’s performance in this tournament as he aims to make an impact in a foreign T20 league and contribute to the success of the Colombo Strikers.
