Karachi Traffic Plan for Youm-e-Ali Observance announced

The traffic authorities in Karachi have devised a detailed plan to ensure smooth traffic flow during the Youm-e-Ali Procession observance on the 21st of Ramadan. The main procession, which commemorates the martyrdom of Hazrat Ali (AS), will start from Nishtar Park and end at the Hussaniyan Iranian Imambargah in Kharadar.

The central majlis, an important event of the day, will also take place at Nishtar Park. The procession will then proceed towards the Empress Market in Saddar via Numaish, MA Jinnah Road, and Sea Breeze. It will continue its journey through Regal and Saddar, eventually returning to MA Jinnah Road at the Tibet Centre.

To facilitate the procession, certain routes will be temporarily closed for regular traffic. However, traffic police will be on hand to guide motorists on alternative routes.

Please note the following traffic changes for the procession departing from Nishtar Park:

City-bound traffic will be rerouted from Soldier Bazaar (Bahadur Yar Jung Road), Coast Guards, and Anklesaria Chowk to Nishtar Road. If you are heading towards MA Jinnah Road from Nazimabad, you will be diverted from Lasbela Chowk to Nishtar Road and then towards Garden to reach your destination.

If you are traveling from Liaquatabad to MA Jinnah Road, you will be rerouted from Teen Hati Chowk to Jail Road and then onto Martin Road. You are allowed to use the Jail Chowrangi Flyover and pass through Jail Road via Jamshed Road, Dadabhai Noorji Road, Kashmir Road, and then from Sharea Quaideen to Sharea Faisal.

Those traveling from Stadium Road to MA Jinnah Road are allowed to use New MA Jinnah Road. You can then proceed through Dadabhai Noorji Road, Kashmir Road, and Society Light Signal via Sharea Quaideen to Sharea Faisal.

When traveling from Gulberg to MA Jinnah Road, take the Liaquatabad No. 10 route to Nazimabad Chowrangi No. 2. Then, take the Habib Bank Flyover, State Avenue Road, Shershah to Mauripur.
