Pakistan’s captain, Babar Azam, expressed confidence in the emerging team players, urging them to be prepared for upcoming challenges. After their victory against India A in the final to defend their ACC Men’s Emerging Asia Cup title, Babar and his team organized a celebration dinner for the A team.

During the dinner, Babar praised the A team’s belief, attributing it to their victory. However, he emphasized that this was just the beginning, and they should not get overly excited but instead prepare for future challenges. Pakistan Shaheens secured a decisive win over India A, with a 128-run margin, in the final held in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

Addressing the players, Babar encouraged them to analyze their performance, learn from their mistakes, and work on overcoming their weaknesses. He emphasized the importance of being their own teachers to facilitate personal growth and development. The skipper urged them not to be complacent and reminded them that there is more to achieve.

Spinner Sufiyan Muqeem played a crucial role in troubling the Indian team, taking three important wickets, including those of opener Abhishek Sharma, captain Yash Dull, and Harshit Rana. Mehran Mumtaz, Mohammad Wasim, and Arshad Iqbal also contributed by claiming two wickets each.

In the match, opener Abhishek Sharma was India A’s top run-scorer with 61 runs. Pakistan had set a challenging target of 353 runs on a good batting surface, with middle-order batter Tayyab Tahir scoring a brilliant century.
