Government released 466-page document containing Toshakhana record

The federal government released a 466-page document containing Toshakhana (the official gift repository) records from 2002 to 2023 on Sunday at the request of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

Pervez Musharraf
According to the records, Musharraf received gifts in 2004 totaling Rs6.5 million. In 2005, he purchased a watch that cost Rs. 5,000 at the time.
Musharraf received pricey watches and jewelry boxes at various points during his presidency, which he kept by paying the required fees in accordance with the law. On January 31, 2007, he also received gifts totaling Rs. 1.4 million.

Begum Sehba Musharraf, the former president’s wife, received gifts worth 1.65 million on April 6, 2006. She received gifts totaling Rs. 3.4 million on August 1, 2007. On April 3, 2007, she received gifts totaling Rs14.8 million as well.

Asif Ali Zardari
Former president Asif Ali Zardari spent Rs0.5 million on a watch on December 2, 2008, whereas he spent Rs57.8 million on two BMW cars on January 26, 2009. He also received a $50 million Toyota Lexus. After paying $20.2 million, Zardari kept all three vehicles for personal use.

Asif Zardari purchased the three vehicles for more than two million rupees and kept them. Zardari received gifts on October 28th, 2011, totaling Rs. 1,615,000.
On June 13, 2011, he paid the required amount and kept gifts worth Rs. 1.6 million. In addition, Asif Zardari received gifts on August 15, 2011, totaling Rs. 847,000.
Nawaz Sharif
The Mercedes car that Nawaz Sharif received had a total cost of Rs. 4,255,919.
The former prime minister paid Rs636,888 to keep the Mercedes on April 20, 2008.

Sharif Shehbaz
Shehbaz Sharif deposited all the gifts he had been given on July 15, 2009, while serving as the chief minister of Punjab, in the Toshakhana.
Shehbaz gave Toshakhana paintings worth Rs40,000 on June 10, 2010.

Shahid Khaqan
Records show that Shahid Khaqan Abbasi received a Rolex watch worth more than Rs25 million as a gift. He also gave his son Abdullah Abbasi a watch that cost Rs. 5.5 million.
Nadir, the second son of Abbasi, received a watch worth Rs10.7 million as well, which he kept after paying more than Rs3.3 million.

Imran Khan
Imran Khan, according to the official records, also received priceless gifts in 2018.
Imran Khan received gifts in September 2018 totaling Rs. 100.9 million, including an expensive watch worth Rs. 80.5 million. 18-karat gold was used to make the watch.

The PTI Chairman had given the Toshakhana a deposit of Rs. 20.1 million and kept these gifts.

Dr Arif Alvi
A watch, a copy of the Holy Quran, and other gifts totaling Rs. 10.75 million were given to President Arif Alvi in December 2018. He kept the copy of the Holy Quran and placed the other gifts in the Toshakhana.

Similar to that, First Lady Begum Samina Alvi received a necklace and bracelet in December 2018 worth Rs. 0.8 million and Rs. 5.1 million, respectively, which she deposited in Toshakhana.

Dr. Arif Alvi was given an A*K-47 in January 2009 for the sum of Rs. 0.6 million. He kept the weapon after making the necessary payment under the law.
