Babar Azam, the captain of Pakistan, will get Sitara-e-Imtiaz on March 23 and will do so as the nation’s youngest cricketer ever.
Babar will receive the trophy after receiving it last year on the occasion of Independence Day for his outstanding performance as captain of Peshawar Zalmi in the eighth Pakistan Super League (PSL) season.
Babar had demonstrated his abilities as a captain, in addition to being a great batter, despite his youth. Babar’s effective leadership allowed Pakistan to participate in both the ICC World T20 2021 semifinal and 2022 championship game.
In the PSL 8, Mohammad Rizwan and he both displayed aggressive bat behaviour. Babar had amassed 522 runs in 11 games with a respectable average of 52.20 and had scored an inventive 115 runs.
