Today is World Teachers’ Day, a day designated to recognize all that our teachers do for us.
It has a different theme each year, and this year’s is “the transformation of education begins with teachers.”
You might recall a unique manner a teacher taught you about the world or how they made learning enjoyable for you!

“Teachers can change lives with just the right mix of chalk and challenges.” –Joyce Meyer

What exactly is World Teachers’ Day?

World Teachers’ Day recognizes the extraordinary job that teachers accomplish every day in and out of the classroom.

It began in 1994 as a unique way to express gratitude to teachers all across the world for assisting us in learning and explaining the world to us. Every year, a new theme is chosen by Unesco.

“A teacher’s job is to take a bunch of live wires and see that they are well-grounded.” –Darwin D. Martin

This year’s subject is all about how teachers come up with fresh and innovative ways to educate and help us learn.

The goal of World Teachers’ Day is to honor, evaluate, and elevate the position of teachers worldwide. This day is also seen as an opportunity to discuss and resolve issues concerning teachers and education. Every year on World Teachers’ Day, UNESCO and Education International (EI) arrange a campaign with a variety of topics to promote a better understanding of teachers and their line of work because they are critical to the development of students and society.

“The duties of a teacher are neither few nor small, but they elevate the mind and give energy to the character.” –Dorothea Dix

World Teachers’ Day is extremely important because it commemorates accomplishments and considers methods for addressing challenges that the teaching profession faces.

This is a day for pupils to express their gratitude to their favorite teachers through gestures. Senior students enjoy a day of celebration and role reversal on Teacher’s Day.

“Teaching is more than imparting knowledge; it is inspiring change. Learning is more than absorbing facts; it is acquiring understanding.”—William Arthur Ward

They can even see themselves as their teachers thanks to the role-reversal practice. This is an excellent moment to thank your instructors for instilling in us a desire to do well and succeed in life, as well as to recognize the dedication of your mentors and gurus, even if you are no longer in school or college.
